Andrew Miz, DVM
Chief of Staff
Dr. Andrew Miz was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He holds both a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences and Veterinary Medical Sciences. He attended the University of Illinois where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1992. He joined the Animal Medical Center team in February of 1995. He is a member of the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association, serving as the continuing education committee co-chairperson. He is also a member of the Illinois Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Miz holds special interests in minimally invasive procedures including endoscopy and endosurgery, as well as management of orthopedic disease of companion animals. His future goals are to continuously improve professionally, personally, and spiritually, and lead the staff of AMC to provide the best veterinary care possible.
His family includes his wife, son, and Toy Poodle, Bella. In his spare time, Dr Miz enjoys spending time with family, cooking, gardening, mountain biking, Blues music, and is a die-hard lifelong Blackhawks fan.
